It dawned on me that he and my daughter were
linked.
My daughter had started to use demonic
powers, and when she was being hurt, he felt
the pain.
He looked down at me and I bit my lip, trying to
ignore the pain, and I used my foot to bring a
feather to his face.
Demons that were linked had similar wings, he
would understand!
Chapter 2
“I’m sorry, boss, we were just going to kill this
trash.”
“Do you want us to rip her apart, or feed her to
the dogs?”
Before he could finish his sentence, they were
sent flying back by a strong force.
“Get out!”
The guys were on their knees, groaning in pain
under Ethan’s pressure.
<
Ethan picked up my daughter, and looked over
her small body, her clothes covered in blood.
Ethan kneeled next to me, his hands shaking,
brushing away the messy hair from my face.
His hand touched my cheek, “Sara…it really is
you.”
His wings were warm, wrapping me and my
daughter in his love, a feeling I hadn’t felt in
years.
Seeing that he remembered me, I finally let go,
and everything went black.
When I woke up, my daughter was on the edge
of my bed, dressed in a new dress.
She had no more injuries on her body, and was
back to being her lively self.
“Mom! You’re awake!”
<
I sat up, and felt light, looking down I could see
that I had no more injuries.
It must have been Ethan who helped me while I
was out.
And my voice was back.
Before I could say anything, the door opened
- up.
Ethan had tears in his eyes and was looking at
me, “Sara, you’re finally awake.”
He was walking towards me, but at the last
second, held back.
The cold and collected Ethan looked like he
was being shy.
“All the injuries that you’ve had… I will make
them pay, every single one.”
<
His eyes were dark with rage.
He clapped his hands and two large men
dragged the two guys in that were responsible
for hurting me.
I frowned, “There was another one, that was in
the room.”
Hearing me say that, Ethan quickly started to
explain, “When I was helping you, something
went wrong, and he ran back into the human
world, but don’t worry, I’ve got people looking
for him.”
I nodded.
Ethan gently stroked my head, then picked up
my daughter and held her softly, all love and
care.
His words were deadly, “Tell me, who cut my
daughter with that knife?”
Under his power, the guy on the left started trembling and said, “Boss, it was me.”
“But I didn’t mean to! If I knew it was your little
girl, I would never have done that.”
He was banging his head on the ground, blood
running down his face, “Please, forgive me.”
He knew that Ethan was cold and uncaring, so
he tried to get my daughter to feel sorry for
him.
But my daughter was also cold, “You hurt me
and my mommy, why would I forgive you!”
In an instant, the man was experiencing great
pain and his face was starting to go crazy.
His teeth were clattering, and he was
scratching at his own flesh.
He was growling like an animal and then he
