Isadora’s POV
I froze.
“In my past life, you didn’t just marry me. You tricked your way into my bed. Pretended to be innocent. And ended up pregnant-
with my son. Leo.”
My blood turned to ice.
Cassian had been reborn too.
My voice caught in my throat. “You…?”
He didn’t answer. Just stared at me, like the memory still burned behind his eyes.
So that was it. Maybe we both died. Or maybe my second chance had somehow dragged him back with me. I didn’t know.
But what I did know?
This time, he didn’t get to win.
I shook out of his grip and stepped back.
“If you really remember everything, then you should remember this too,” I said coldly. “You left me. You left me and your son to burn in that car. You chose Alessia. Again and again and again. And guess what? That’s who you really loved. So go. Run to her. Do
it right this time, if you even know how.”
He didn’t move. Didn’t blink.
“And Leo?” My voice cracked, but I didn’t stop. “Thanks to your kind, noble heart, Leo will never exist again. You killed him. You killed me. I hope you live every single day knowing that.”
I turned toward the alley’s exit, my voice quiet but sharp.
“Rot in it, Cassian.”
And then I walked away–ring on my finger, fire in my chest, and no regrets.
I never imagined that my wedding with Kai would land on the same day as Cassian and Alessia’s.
But it did.
And then word spread–Cassian had left her at the altar. Shouted something like, “It wasn’t supposed to be you. I can’t marry
you.” And vanished.

I wasn’t even shocked.
Because Cassian was always that kind of man—the kind who ran the second things got hard. The kind who walked away from the
people who needed him.
What I didn’t expect… was for him to show up at my wedding.
He came crashing through the ceremony, uninvited and breathless, like a man running on desperation.
“Isadora!” he yelled. “Don’t marry him–marry me!”
The crowd gasped. Whispers ignited like wildfire.
“Is that Cassian Cross?”
“Didn’t he just ditch that girl, Alessia, at the altar?”
“I remember Isadora used to follow him around when they were kids…”
“Still–this is her wedding. He’s out of his mind.”
I stayed still, my hand resting in Kai’s. Calm. Steady. Untouchable.
Cassian pushed forward, eyes locked on me. “Isadora, I was wrong. About everything. I didn’t see it before, but I see it now–I love you. I always have. I was just too blind. Too stupid to admit it.”
He took a step closer.
“I’ll be different. I’ll love our baby, I’ll love you-”
“Enough,” Kai said, his voice cool and decisive.
With a flick of his fingers, two of his guards moved fast and quiet, dragging Cassian away before he could utter another word.
Kai turned to me, eyes searching mine. “You okay, Izzy?”
I smiled up at him and leaned into his arms. “More than okay.”
And just like that, our wedding continued.
And it was perfect.
