Victor was taken aback.
But I had already gotten into the car, too tired to care about what they would do
next.
Once I got home, I first went to see my parents and took over part of the family business. Then, I went to the civil affairs bureau and completed the forced divorce. with Victor.
Not long after, the legal team of the company had gathered all the relevant evidence. However, instead of directly suing Erin, I decided to play a cat–and- mouse game with her.
I instructed people to suppress all of Erin’s business operations, wanting her to experience constant defeat.
In the end, Erin went bankrupt.

your shortcut. In a fair fight, you’d never beat me!”
These were Erin’s words when she signed a bet agreement with me, trying to protect “her store“.
But she forgot that everything she had was obtained through improper means. So, what right did she have to criticize me?
At least, I had the rightful claim.
Before long, under the powerful pressure from Evolv Group, Erin became a dog without a home.
In order to pay off her debts, she sold all her valuable belongings. But those were just a drop in the bucket compared to her massive debts.
Victor helped her repay some of it by selling everything he had. Unfortunately, he lost his job because he wasn’t focused on work.

argument.
Erin left Victor and continued to struggle to pay off her debts.
Watching Erin slowly fall from grace gave me an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.
Soon enough, when I finally held the divorce certificate in my hands, I felt like a completely new person.
At that moment, it symbolized that I had completely severed ties with Victor and left the past behind.
Since then, I’d been busy with the company’s affairs, focusing all my attention on it.
Days passed and just when I thought I was about to embrace a new life, Victor
suddenly appeared in my line of sight again.
That day, I was hosting clients at a hotel. Before entering the private room, I noticed a dispute going on.

A quick glance and I instantly recognized one of the people arguing. It was Victor.
“Dad, I just want a car. Why won’t Erin buy it for me? If she doesn’t, then you two can’t be together! Doesn’t she love you? Then why is she letting you work here? I’m going to find her and get this cleared up!”
“Frank!”
Victor couldn’t stop Frank and he quickly disappeared without a trace.
It was only then that I noticed Victor was wearing the hotel’s staff uniform.
As I turned around, our eyes met. But after just one glance, he lowered his head.
“Ms. Harari, is there a problem?”
I shook my head and walked into the private room.
The banquet went on for a while and the guests left, satisfied. By the time I came out, Victor was nowhere to be seen.

I thought he had gone somewhere else, but as I passed by two waiters, I overheard their conversation.
“Did you hear? That guy named Victor, his son got stabbed. To save him, he fell from the building. They’re both in the hospital in critical condition.”
“I heard the person who stabbed his son was his own mother. Victor originally had a wife, but he hid her for over twenty years. He’s shameless. His son is no better, always causing trouble here. Even if he died, he deserved it.”
“Let’s not talk about it, it’s none of our business. Get back to work.”
I didn’t feel much stirred by their words. I simply walked over to meet my brother, who had come to pick me up.
“Liane, have you heard? The person who harmed you is getting what they deserve.
That woman, Erin, should be going to prison now.”

I nodded lightly.
Karma always caught up to those who do wrong. They were simply reaping what they sowed.
Not long after, my phone rang. It was a number that once, at the sound of it, would have filled my heart with joy.
“Is something wrong?” I asked.
Victor’s voice was urgent. “Honey, Frank is seriously injured. Can you help me save him? Just help me with the surgery fees and I’ll do anything you want!”
I didn’t say anything and his voice grew even more desperate. “Please, save Frank! After all these years, can you really turn your back on him like this?”
After a moment of silence, I slowly spoke, “We have nothing to do with each other anymore. Frank is not my son.”
With that, I hung up the phone and blocked Victor’s number.
