Chapter 10
On the day of Alpha Cynthia‘ birthday, I was awakened by the noise outside.o
The Ambersy Pack’s Packhouse was seldom this lively; even on my birthday, it was just a family gathering.
My parents insisted that inviting others would feel forced, as I didn’t know them well. Back then, I foolishly believed them, chalking it up to my social awkwardness.
Ridiculous. Without the opportunity, how could I ever meet them?
The obedient me back then wasn’t even angry and barely participated in Alpha Cynthia‘ birthday celebrations.

But today is different.
I applied my boldest red lipstick, slipped into the custom dress I ordered a few days ago, and exposed my injured left arm completely.
With a prepared USB drive in hand, I headed directly downstairs.
Everyone was surprised to see me, especially Alpha Cynthia.
“Emma?”
Alpha Cynthia’s voice, sugary sweet and sharp as glass, stopped me near the main hall.
“What are you doing here?”
“Celebrating your birthday, dear sister.”

I smiled at her, but my eyes were icy cold.
Seeing me all dolled up, Alpha Cynthia could barely hold her smile together.
Especially as whispers drifted around us.
“Isn’t that Alpha Graves‘ biological daughter? She’s stunning.”
“No doubt, having those genes, she’s got such presence.”
Alpha Cynthia struggled to maintain her
composure.
She was about to say something, but the host of the birthday party had already called her name.
She could only cast me a fierce glance before turning away and stepping onto

the stage, resuming her sweet, innocent demeanor.
A beautiful piano piece earned applause from the audience.
She looked at me with pride.
I smiled back, slid the USB drive into the computer controlling the large screen.
“So, did sister know it was I who hired the rogues?”
A voice rang out clearer than ever through the high–priced speakers.
Displayed on the screen was Alpha Cynthia in a face–to–face meeting with Alpha
Kennard.
The first video played was of her confessing

to hiring the roguess on that night.
The audience began to buzz with chatter.
“How could she-”
“Hiring rogues? Against her own sister?”
“Truly, blood ties can’t be forged. How vicious!”
Alpha Cynthia paled as she watched the video for a few seconds, covered her ears, and screamed.
She rushed off the stage to the computer, trying to stop the video.
But that USB drive had already been tampered with; once started, it couldn’t be stopped.

“Emma! What are you doing?!”
My parents, seeing the video and then glancing at me by the computer, immediately realized I was behind this.
“You’re trying to ruin your sister? Stop it immediately!”
I gestured them to keep watching.
The video had just reached the part where Alpha Cynthia threatened me.
Upon hearing about her transferring The Ambersy Pack’s funds, Alpha Ginger immediately called the finance department to investigate. Within minutes, the suspicions were confirmed.
They were still in shock when Alpha Cynthia, in tears, ran over pleading for their help.

Alpha Ginger darkened, smacking her hard across the face.
“You ingrate! Waste of all those years raising you!”
Alpha Cynthia collapsed, looking at me with fury.
0
“This is all your fault!” she screamed. “You spiteful bitch!”
I stepped back, knowing the video wasn’t over yet.
Turning slightly, Alpha Kennard stood between us.
His eyes reddened, clutching my hand, glaring at Alpha Cynthia.
“I never thought you could stoop this low,” he

A
spat. “Framing Emma, stealing from the pack -disgusting.”
Then he turned to me, his expression softening.
“Emma, I didn’t mean to hide things from you, please believe me.”
I raised a hand to silence him..
“There’s more,” I said, gesturing to the
screen.
It was now showcasing what happened between him and Alpha Cynthia the night she got drunk.
The room fell into stunned silence, then exploded into chaos.
Yet, it wasn’t enough for me.

I had to add more fuel to the fire.
I signaled, and Alpha Kennard received a call.
On hearing the quick report, he hung up, his hands trembling as his phone clattered to the ground.
“What’s wrong, Alpha Kennard?” I kindly picked up the phone for him.
It was as if he suddenly realized. Alpha Kennard paled, clutching my arm.
“You…you set me up,” he stammered. “You’ve ruined me!”
I shook free of his grip.
“If you hadn’t harbored rogues, abused wolfsbane, and committed countless crimes,
9/11
there wouldn’t have been anything for me to expose,” I said, my voice like steel. “Thank yourself for handing me the opportunity.”
I raised my glass, toasting Gamma Bowman in the corner.
Thanks to him help, I orchestrated the Wolf Doctor’s report against Alpha Kennard and presented his crimes to the Supreme Werewolf Council.
He was the only one who didn’t overlook me at my recognition ceremony, and even The man who objected to my father’s decision to name Alpha Cynthia first in line of succession to The Ambersy Pack’s ALPHA.
Even if the end result didn’t change anything.
Now, I’d repaid the favor.

Amidst the chaos, my heart never felt lighter.
