Unexpectedly, I ran into Grant, holding a sonogram printout. He looked at me, startled, before walking over.
“Tyler, help me out here. Rena’s pregnant, it’s mine. Could you let her be?”
I scoffed. “Why do you think I’m in your way? With your reputation out there, do you think she’s carrying your child?”
“Rena loves me,” he mumbled before heading in to see her.
When Eliza and I left, he stormed out after us, face dark. I wasn’t surprised. Rena didn’t know how to love anyone.
