Chapter 9 Cecilia in Danger–2
Alam kept pushing, “Aren’t you jealous at all?
“Nope.” She was done letting Julian’s actions mess with her emotions. This time, she wasn’t going to make the same mistakes.
But feeling abandoned again still stung
Alaric noticed a fleeting look of sadness on her face, then he smiled and said, “Ms. Medici, how about letting me take you home?”
Since she had already met the key people, staying longer would be boring. Cecilia agreed right away. Thanks, Mr. Percy.”
Owen get flustered, “Mrs. Russell, let me take you instead.”
Cecilia just sh
shook her head and left with Alane
Owen was at a loss, wondering why everyone was so difficult to deal with,
As soon as Alaric stepped out of the hall, he saw Kian leaning lazily against a flashy car, surrounded by a few stylishly dressed women,
Seeing Alaric, Kian started complaining. “Mr. Percy, you finally came out. I’ve been waiting for you all day. If you were any slower, we wouldn’t need to…..”
Kian’s complaints were cut short by a cold look from Alaric, and Cecilia emerged from behind him.
Cecilia asked curiously. “Do you have something urgent to do?”
“No, I’ll take you first,” Alaric replied calmly, his gaze falling on Kian. “Stop posing and go drive the car.”
Kian, speechless, went to be Alaric’s driver.
In all of Skyview City, only Alaric could make Kian drive for him.
Cecilia frowned slightly, “I can go back by myself”
Alaric raised an eyebrow. “You are Julian’s wife. Given his… prominence, it’s not wise to travel alone.”
She shook her head. “Mr. Percy, you’re joking, Julian runs a legitimate business. Even if something happened to me, he wouldn’t care much.”
Alaric narrowed his eyes and lowered his voice, “There aren’t many… clean players in this game.”
Hearing his words, Cecilia had to admit that they were true. In her previous life, despite being married for years, Julian never let her know about the Russell family’s business.
In this profit–driven business world, how many people could stay clear–headed and stick to their principles?
Perhaps, as Bodhi had implied, the Russell family’s skeletons were simply better hidden.
After a long while, Alaric’s light words reached Cecilia in the back seat. “He may not care about you, but others will.”
Kian was so shocked he almost lost control of the steering wheel. Was this the same cold, ruthless Alaric he knew?
Finally, the car stopped smoothly in front of the Russell Villa.
“Thanks.” Cecilia said and got out of the car

Cleo or maybe Julian had returned before her.
She didn’t think much of it but paused at the door. Usually, the door was unlocked through a biometric aysten, but now the system was malfunctioning, the door was slightly ajar.
What was going on? Julian would I randomly disable the system. Could the hardware be broken?
Cecilia glanced back and saw that Alaric and the others hadn’t left yet, so she waved at them as she didn’t want to trouble them and walked straight in
Chapter 9 Cecina in Danger–2
However, as soon as she entered, a strong and unfamiliar force pulled her into a corner of the wall. A gloved hand quickly covered her mouth chemically soaked white cloth completely covering the lower half of her face.
Cecilia instinctively tried to resist, fumbling in her bag for her phone, trembling as she pressed the power button five times, sending a distress message to her emergency contact: |Julian, save me!|
‘Bitch! Stop moving! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have lost money!” A man’s voice sounded, and he increased the force of his actions
Cecilia’s vision gradually blurred as the chemicals inevitably entered her system, then she finally couldn’t hold on, her body going limp as she lost consciousness.
