As soon as Tamsin heard Julian was coming to pick her up for dinner at a hotel, she eagerly changed her clothes. As long as Julian was still protecting her, Alaric wouldn’t dare to mess
with her for now.
Tamsin, are you going out with your boyfriend?” Gia asked.
“Yeah, hes picking me up today.” Tamsin lifted her dress and twirled in front of the mirror. The action seemed to dispel the shadows of her morning’s unpleasantness, her spirits lifting
considerably.
It’s good you made up with him. I saw that other woman getting into his car yesterday. You should ask him about it!” Gia said indignantly.
Hearing this, Tamsin bit her lip, looking a bit uneasy, but she still smiled and nodded.
When she walked out of the school gate, Julian’s car pulled up.
Julian, sitting in the car, saw Tamsin in a white dress and frowned slightly.
Maybe Cecilia’s image in a white dress had left such a deep impression on him that Tamsin’s outfit seemed much less striking in comparison.
Julian pursed his lips, glanced at Tamsin, and said nothing.
Tamsin got into the car and sat properly next to Julian. She wanted to ask about Cecilia, but sensing his bad mood, she kept quiet.
The car stopped near the hotel.
Julian walked ahead without waiting for Tamsin, who had to jog to catch up.
They entered the hotel’s VIP room, greeted by an opulent space filled with notable figures from various industries.
“Mr. Russell, welcome.” Don Grayson immediately came up to greet Julian with a smile.
The seated guests also stood up, nodding amicably at Julian.
Tamsin lifted her chin slightly, feeling a sense of satisfaction.
“Where’s Mrs. Russell?‘ Don glanced at Tamsin, blinking in confusion. He remembered that the woman next to Julian at the press conference had a better presence.
“She’s not available, Julian said.
Don suddenly realized he might have misspoken and apologized with a smile.
Tamsin instinctively tugged at Julian’s sleeve. Julian discreetly took her hand and led her to their seats.
Halfway through the meal, Don, having had a few drinks, raised a glass to Julian. “Mr. Russell, congratulations to you and Mrs. Russell!”
Julian frowned. Why did that sound so strange? As if they actually had something worth celebrating.
Tamsin’s face turned pale. Julian hadn’t contacted her for days, and she had no idea what had happened between him and Cecilia recently.
“Didn’t Mrs. Russell tell you?” Don noticed Julian’s odd expression and asked, puzzled. “The wine she bought is now super valuable! Whether it’s sold for cash or exchanged for land with the government, it’s a sure profit!‘
Julian’s face darkened. He hadn’t heard about this. He had skipped the news that morning, and Cecilia certainly hadn’t mentioned anything.
Tamsin was the first to react, her face full of disbelief. “That’s impossible, Mr. Grayson. Are you drunk?”
“I’ve only had a little, and how could I be drunk!” Don grinned. “Everyone here knows about it. If you don’t believe me, ask around or check the news yourself!
Tamsin’s face changed dramatically. She had already been through a lot of stress that morning, and now this shocking news made her stomach ache.
Mr. Grayson, I appreciate your congratulations. Let’s not talk about this anymore. Let’s eat.” Julian took a sip of his drink, his tone cold.
“Mr. Russell, my stomach hurts. I need to go to the restroom.” Tamsin bit her lip and said.
Julian just glanced at her and nodded.
Leaving the VIP room, Tamsin felt heavy–hearted. Julian’s reaction had deeply hurt her.

After using the restroom, she still felt aggrieved and stood by the hotel window, watching the people outside,
Suddenly, the roar of an engine drew her attention. A flashy convertible sped up, making a dramatic sharp turn before screeching to a halt in front of the Karaoke Bar across the street. Tamsin’s breath caught in her throat—she would never mistake Alaric’s car.
She saw Alaric get out of the car and stand by the door. Then, a blonde woman jumped out, and Alaric caught her. They seemed very close,
In the glow of the streetlights, Tamsin recognized the woman’s face.
Even without a clear view, the hair color, the outfit, the figure–she would never mistake it!
That woman was Cecilia!
Tamsin watched them for a while. Kian also got out of the car and naturally put his arms around Cecilia and Alaric. The three of them walked into the Karaoke Bar together.
Tamsin clenched her fists. When did Cecilia get involved with those two?
She had to tell Julian!
Meanwhile, Cecilia was being held by Kian. She frowned but didn’t push him away.
I just saw a familiar face from the hotel window.” Alaric removed Kian’s hand and said.
‘Must be impressed by my driving skills!” Kian boasted.
Cecilia glanced at Alaric and asked, “A familiar face?”
Alaric nodded and chuckled. “When I caught you, I happened to see Tamsin. She was watching us.”
