I sat in the living room of the pack house, watching Charlie pace back and forth across the room. He was angry and aursy, his sal bubbly personality subdued. His eyes, which were normally bright and curious, were now dull and Lifeless. His little face was scrunched up in a mirture of frustration and sadness..
1 sighed, feeling a pang of worry and guilt. I had thought that coming to the pack home would be the best decision for us, but now I wasn’t so sure. Charlie was struggling to adapt, and it was breaking my heart, I had never seen him like this before. He was always such a happy and carefree child. but now he seemed lost and alone.
He didn’t understand what was happening and he just didn’t like being here. He missed his friends and his old life, and I couldn’t blame him. I missed those things too. I missed the familiarity of our old home, the comfort of our old routine. But most of all, I missed the seme of security and safety that we had once had.
I stood up and walked over to Aragon, who was sitting on the couch, watching Charlie with a concerned expression. His eyes were arrowed, his brow furrowed in worry. He looked up at me as I approached, and I could see the concern and uncertainty in his eyes.
“Aragon, can talk to you about something?” I asked.

Charlie stopped pacing and looked up at me, his eyes filled with tears. “I don’t like it here,” he said. “I want to go home.”
I pulled Charlie into a hug, trying to comfort him. “I know, baby,” I said. “I know it’s hard. But we’re safe liere Aragon is taking care of us.”
