Chapter 34
I was still beating up myself about the kiss, and I succeeded in avoiding her all through. Thad no idea what I was thinking.
Seeing her admire this warrior pissed me off to no end and 1 jun wanted her to shun up. My wolf kept growling at me to take her against the wall, he was trying to control me and he slipped when he damned her against the wall and kissed her.
I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to do it again and again which is why I avoided her. I looked up when a knock came on my door and I sprang up from the bed
Millicent walked in with a smile, “Hi, miss me!”
Trelleil my eyes at her, the stepped doser to lay a chaste kiss on my cheek, I froze when I perceived Sapphire on her.
I dragged her even close to me, I could feel her flinch in surprise but all I wanted was to get a whiff of my mate.
“Where have you been asked
“Went shopping, it was needed.”
“Get me anything?”
She smirked, “Yeah, I got you a watch. Ii would soothe the upcoming party next week,
I sighed, I forgot about the stupid party for a second. It was a welcome ceremony for those who had been newly accepted into the pack and a moment for the others to let loose.
“Fine I will wear it,”
She buried her face in my chest and I needed her far away from me. I tried to make up an excuse to get rid of her but Marcel mindlinked me
Aragon, you need to see this,”
Can’t it wait? Lam busy right now.”
Sapphire is in the pack hospital
I froze for the second time that day.
1 ripped Millicent off of me, feeling her grip slipping as I shoved her back. “What’s wrong“” she kept asking. I didn’t have time for this, and the conem in her tone only fueled my frustration.
“I’ll be back.” I snapped, yanking the door open. “Marcel needs me.”
“Wait-” she called, but I was already out the door, my footsteps quick and purposeful as I made my way to the pack hospital. I didn’t look back, but I could hear her footsteps following closely behind, her voice still buzzing in my ears. Millicent never knew when to stop
When I reached the hospital, Marcel was pacing the hallway, his eyes darting to me the moment I stepped in Leah sat nearby, her posture stiff and somber, a stark contrast to her usual fiery demeanor. As soon as she saw me, Leah shot up from her seat and launched forward, her movements sharp and fueled by anger. Ibraced myself, assuming she was coming for me, but to my surprise, she bypassed me entirely and went straight for
Millicem
The slap echoed down the hallway, sharp and loud. Millicent stumbled bark, her hand flying to her cheek, eyes wide with shock.
“What the hell, Leal” Millicent gasped, “What’s your problem?”
I stepped between them, my gaze shifting from Leah to Millicent and bark again, “What’s going on? Why did you slap her?”
Leah’s eyes were blazing her chest heaving with barely contained rage. She looked at me, then at Millicent, and it felt like she was struggling to find the right words. Marcel, who had stopped pacing, locked eyes with me. He shook his head slightly, disappointment etched into his features. It stung. but I swallowed it down focusing on the volatile situation in front of me.
Leah broke the silence, cutting through the tension “She’s evil, that’s what’s going on!” She pointed a trembling finger at Millicent. “She ambushed Sapphire in the bathroom. Her and her little minions.”
I felt a cold rush of disbelief wash over me. “What?” I managed, my voice sounding distant even to my own ears. I tried to catch Marcel’s eye again, but he looked away, jaw clenched tight.
Lesh turned on me with a sneer. “Oh, don’t pretend you care. You’re too busy playing house with the devil’s incarnate over here.” She jerked her head towards Millirent, who recolled at the accusation.
Millicent’s lips hosted into a smirk, though her eyes held a flicker of uncertainty. “What was I supposed to do, Leah? Just sit there when 1 could smell his scent all over her?” Her voice wavered.
Wan, whatt
I rubbed my temples, trying to make sense of the mess unraveling before me. “Millicers, did you hurt Sapphire because you thought I was with
She stepped closer, eyes narrowing as she stared me down. “Didn’t you?” she challenged.
I shook my head, stunned at the direction this was taking. “Millicent, this isn’t about me. Sapphire is… This is serious-

“She’s a problem,” Millicent interrupted, her gaze flicking between Leah and me, her expression hardening. “And if you’re too blind to see that, maybe you’re the one who needs a wake up call.”
Leah’s hands balled into fisis at her sides, her fury palpable. “You’re twisted. Millicent. You can’t just go around terrorizing people because of your
Marcel finally spoke up. “Enough, all of you. This isn’t helping Sapphire.” He looked at me with those disappointed eyes again, and I felt the weighi of his judgment senle heavily on my shoulders.
“Where is she?” I asked
“In her room with the doctor,” Marcel usid, glancing towards the end of the hall. “She’s shaken up but she’ll be okay physically. Emotionally. I’m n
I turned to Millicent. “What exactly is the bathroom
“Nothing mach. I just warned her to stay away from you,” she shinigged.
“A warning that made her unable to walk? You are a good liar. You and I know that you are so threatened by her. Even the sight of her breathing would piss pour off. You and your minions beat her so had till she was unable to walk
My breath caught, all I could think about was her. She was ambushed because i couldn’t control myself. My eyes dared between the three of them before I shook my head and walked meay.
