Upon hearing Sophie’s name, Matilda couldn’t remain calm, asking. “Did Hurley come to the clothing department because of Sophie?”
Stella recounted what happened last night, including Sophie’s meeting with Mr. Jordan and the marks on Hurley’s
neck.
After hearing this, Matilda became even more alarmed, “What? Sophie was at the Nova Club last night too?”
Last night. Hurley was entertaining at the Nova Club. After he left, Matilda didn’t know where he had gone. Considering the marks on Hurley’s neck, it was clear he might have spent the night with a woman.
In such a short time, how did Sophie find out about it?
This could only mean that it was highly likely that Sophie had been with Hurley last night!
Thinking about this, a hint of resentment crossed Matilda’s face. She had finally taken action, and if Sophie had
already captured Hurley’s heart, she would be devastated!
Stella noticed Matilda’s uneasiness and asked, “Matilda, are you okay?”
Matilda snapped back, “I’m fine, I’m sorry, Stella. I’ve involved you. If I hadn’t asked you to help me get rid of Sophie, this wouldn’t have happened.”
“Matilda, what are you talking about? It has nothing to do with you, and I dislike Sophie just as much as that idiot from the past!” Stella expressed her disgust, thinking about that past incident.
Back then, that idiot was just like that, impossible to drive away, and her grandmother had liked her so much!
Maulda’s eyes flashed with an inexplicable expression. “Thank you, Stella. You’re truly my best friend. I need to talk to Hurley, I’ll go find him.”
Upstairs, Hurley still hadn’t taken off his sunglasses. Following behind him was Chris, who said, “Mr. Walton, this is the project report they prepared for you. Please take a look.”
The report was in PowerPoint with strong and colorful designs, but Hurley’s sunglasses seemed to affect his perception, “Why are these colors so strange, it’s all mixed up.”
Chris leaned in to look at the computer screen. Was there a problem?
No, there was no problem!
Upon closer inspection, Chris realized the issue.
“Mr. Walton, would you mind taking off your sunglasses and looking again?” Chris found it strange too. Mr. Walton never wore sunglasses in the office, so why hadn’t he taken them off yet today?

“Alright, you can go out first. He couldn’t let anyone see his panda eyes!
As soon as Chris left, Hurley received a call from his grandmother.
“Hello, Grandma?”
“Hurley, Grandma has already talked to Old Mr. Hades. We’ve booked a restaurant for you to meet Hades’s daughter tonight.”
Hurley’s Grandma’s voice sounded extremely cheerful. Although they hadn’t met, she already liked Sophie.
What if she had a child? The Hades family wasn’t that conservative!
“Grandma. I might not be available tonight.” He hadn’t agreed to this marriage yet, and if Sophie, with her personality, saw him as the prospective groom, she would probably beat him up too.
“What do you mean not available? Are you trying to upset this old lady? You’re going, whether you like it or not!”
Grandma’s anger left no room for refusal.
Hurley rubbed his forehead, and just then, a sweet voice came from the door.
“Hurley, I’m coming in.” Matilda entered from outside.
“What’s wrong with you, Hurley? Are you too tired? Let me give you a massage.” She walked over to Hurley, trying to massage him.
“Get out!” Hurley’s tone was irritable.
