Chapter 14
Shaun refused to give up.
He changed his method of dealing with me.
He said, that since I refused to admit that I was Mona, it didn’t matter.
Just treat it as if we were strangers.
Arnold and I were not married, and he could also pursue me.
He started appearing frequently around me.
He gave me flowers and jewelry, trying to recreate the sweet moments we had together in the past.
I firmly refused.
“Mr. Chapman, please stop harassing me.”
Shaun begged me.
“Give me a chance to make amends, Moon. Try to be with me, and you will fall in love with me again.”
He held a jewelry box and carefully placed it into my hand.
“What you said, from the appearance, I was also your favorite type,
someone you had a physical attraction to. No matter how many times we met, you would fall in love with me again.
I was impatient.
Chapter 14
“Since we loved each other so much, what did you do back then? Did you have to push me to the point of suicide?”
Shaun shuddered, and the color of blood on his lips instantly faded away.
“Suicide?”
He couldn’t believe it, his voice trembled.
“Was it not an accident, but a suicide? Mona, did you remember something?”
I shook my head and threw the box into his arms.
“Slip of the tongue, it wasn’t me who committed suicide, it was your ex- wife Mona who committed suicide.”
“Arnold told me that your so–called love would only kill her.”
“Shaun, I’m telling you one last time, Arnold and I are getting married soon. I love him very much, and he loves me too. I can’t consider anyone else anymore.”
“Can you let go, and be a little more dignified?”
Shaun remained silent.
Standing alone by the roadside, the street lamp cast a long shadow of him.
I didn’t look back and walked forward with big steps.
Shaun did not appear for two consecutive days.
I had just breathed a sigh of relief, but I didn’t expect Thalia and Laura to come knocking on the door again.

Chapter 14
Laura was furious and immediately insulted with a derogatory remark.
Thalia raised her hand.
“Laura, you went to the door and waited.”
Laura huffed and stomped her foot, turning her head.
“Got it! Don’t be too polite to her!”
The door closed, Thalia smoothed her stray hair at the temple and looked at me with a proud expression on her face.
“I knew about all of your matters.
“Mona, you lost your memory and returned to your ordinary life. How do you feel?”
“Earning a monthly salary of 8,000, life must have been difficult, right? So when I met Shaun, I immediately stuck to him like a piece of chewing
gum.”
She scornfully curled her lips.
“I knew what you girls were thinking, all dreaming of marrying into wealthy families, right? Unfortunately, life in a wealthy family is not as easy as you think.”
“You still don’t know how you died three years ago, do you?”
Thalia evilly laughed.
“You couldn’t survive, Mona. Even if you married Shaun ten thousand times, you still wouldn’t live the life you imagine.”
She was a bit exaggerated and described my previous miserable life.
Chapter 14
It made me shiver all over.
I was pressed down on the head and almost suffocated to death, being thrown into the swimming pool countless times.
I was locked in the yard and left to be drenched in the heavy rain, not allowed to enter the house.
When skiing, someone broke my ski board and deliberately pushed me down.
I really didn’t know that Mona had experienced so much.
Not to mention the cold words, exclusion, and harassment.
The only love, Shaun, watched coldly and did not lend a helping hand to her.
No wonder she was depressed and had stress reactions.
What kind of days were those?
Thalia warned me.
“Married to Shaun, you would only be repeating the path from three years ago, is this what you want?”
