27 Love
Third person pov
The tension in the air was thick as Harvey and Nicolas stood there, visibly frustrated and desperate. Their hearts were clearly at war with their pride, and neither seemed willing to accept that Sabrina had moved on. But as much as they tried to pull her back into their world, Sabrina was standing her ground, her eyes cold and unwavering.
Harvey, his voice laced with bitterness, couldn’t hold back any longer. “What‘ s so special about him?” he snapped, his eyes darting between Sabrina and Jayden.
“Why him? Why not me? What makes him worthy of you when I’ve been by your side all these years?”
Sabrina didn’t respond right away, her gaze flicking to Jayden, who stood by her side. His posture was calm, but the storm of emotions roiling beneath his cool exterior was evident. Harvey was taunting

him now, trying to provoke a reaction, trying to chip away at the fortress of confidence Jayden had built around him. But Jayden remained silent, his eyes sharp as he met Harvey‘ s challenge.
Before Sabrina could stop him, Harvey lunged, throwing a fist toward Jayden. The punch landed with a sickening thud, making Sabrina‘ s heart leap into her throat. The world around her seemed to freeze for a moment as Jayden stumbled back slightly, his jaw clenched in pain. For a brief second, her breath caught in her chest, and her instincts took over.
Without thinking, Sabrina‘ s hand flew through the air, connecting with Harvey‘ s cheek in a harsh slap. The sound echoed in the tense room, and the force of the hit left Harvey blinking in shock. Her hand trembled as she stood tall in front of him, fury and disbelief flooding her veins.
“How dare you?” she seethed, her voice. low but fierce. “How dare you lay a hand.

on him?”
Harvey stood there, rubbing his cheek, his face twisted with anger, but Sabrina was beyond caring. She was done with them. They had crossed a line she couldn‘ t ignore.
“Get out,” she said, her voice firm,
without a trace of hesitation. “Both of you. Leave. Now.”
Jayden, though clearly hurt, stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Sabrina’s arm. His confidence, thought shaken by the physical blow, remained unwavering. He didn’t flinch, didn‘ t show any sign of weakness. Instead, he simply turned his attention to her, his eyes filled with a quiet, unwavering determination.
“Sabrina,” he said, his voice low and steady, “I’m fine. I’ll always protect you. Don’t worry about me.”
But Sabrina couldn’t help the concern

that flitted through her chest. She reached. for him, her hand brushing his cheek, feeling the slight roughness of the bruise forming. “You shouldn’t have to,” she whispered, her voice trembling slightly.
Ignoring the men standing in front of her, Sabrina focused all her attention on Jayden. His safety, his well–being, meant more to her than anything else in that moment. He had always been the one to protect her, the one who had stood by her when everyone else had turned their backs. And now, she would do the same for him.
The jealousy and frustration that had built up in Harvey and Nicolas came to a boiling point. Their faces twisted with bitterness, seeing Sabrina‘ s attention so fully on Jayden. They couldn’t comprehend why she was no longer the same person who had been willing to put up with their selfishness. They couldn’t accept that she had moved on from the past.

watch?” Nicolas barked, his voice full of frustration. “She doesn’t love you.
She’s just being foolish. We’ll make her see reason.”
Before Sabrina could even react, they both lunged toward her, their hands reaching out to grab her, to forcefully drag her away from Jayden. The intensity of their movements caught her off guard. But Jayden was quicker, stepping in front of her with a firm stance, blocking their advance.
“I don’t think you understand,” Jayden’s voice rang out, calm but deadly serious. “You don’t get to decide who Sabrina chooses, and you don’t get to make her feel guilty for it.”
But Nicolas and Harvey weren’t backing down. Their jealousy, their broken hearts, clouded their judgment. In their
desperation, they tried to push Jayden aside, but he stood firm, his resolve
unshakable.

Sabrina nodded, her voice barely a whisper. “I am now.”
She had come so far. She had faced so many battles, but now, standing by Jayden s side, she finally felt like she was where she was meant to be. No more doubts. No more fear. Just love, pure and unwavering.
And for the first time in a long time, Sabrina knew that she had made the right choice.
