28 Wedding crashers

Sabrina had been feeling a mix of irritation and anxiety in the days leading up to her wedding. Nicolas and Harvey, despite everything that had transpired between them, still hadn‘ t left the country. Worse, they were relentless in sending her gifts- gifts she didn’t want, gifts that only reminded her of the painful past she had worked so hard to move beyond. Flowers. Jewelry. Letters. They arrived at her doorstep almost daily, each more lavish than the last, as if these material gestures could undo the hurt they‘ d caused.
Each time a new gift appeared, Sabrina s irritation grew. It was as if they couldn’t accept the reality of her life now. They refused to acknowledge that she had already made her choice. No amount of expensive trinkets or flowery words would change the truth: she was done. She had

moved on, and they needed to do the same.
But despite the gifts, her unease was more than just annoyance. Deep down, she feared they would try to disrupt her wedding. There had been whispers that Nicolas and Harvey were unable to let go of their feelings for her, and while she tried to dismiss them, the worry still lingered. She wasn’t sure what they were capable of. They had already proven themselves to be unpredictable.
Jayden could see the worry in her eyes. He had been observing her carefully, and he knew that the gifts were bothering her. They were starting to affect her.
One evening, as they sat in their living. room, Sabrina s phone buzzed once again. with a new message from Harvey, followed by another package at the door. She let out a frustrated sigh as she reached for her phone, only to see the same type of
message she had grown accustomed to: an apology, a plea for another chance,

wrapped up in a picture–perfect image of some grand gesture.
“More gifts,” she muttered, swiping the message away. “I can’t believe they re still doing this.”
Jayden, sitting across from her, put down his drink and walked over to her. His expression was calm, but there was a quiet intensity in his eyes as he took her hand in his. “Don’t worry about them,” he said, his voice steady. “I’ll handle it. You‘ ve done everything you can. It’s time they understand that.”
Sabrina met his gaze. She could see the determination in his eyes, the commitment to protecting her, and it calmed her fears. Jayden had always been there for her, and this was no different. She trusted him- deeply. “I just don’t want them showing up at the wedding,” she admitted, the tension in her voice evident. “It’s one thing to send gifts, but I don’t know what they’ll do next. What if they try to stop

the ceremony?”
Jayden squeezed her hand, his tone reassuring. “I won’t let them ruin this
for you. This wedding is about us, and no one else.”
He was right. Sabrina knew that she couldn’t keep letting Nicolas and Harvey control her emotions, even from a
distance. She needed to focus on what lay ahead, on the life she was building with Jayden, and on the wedding that was only days away.
But as the days passed, her worries didn‘ t subside. The gifts kept coming, each one more extravagant than the last, and it became clear to Sabrina that their persistence wasn’t just about making amends–it was about trying to force her to reconsider her decision. They weren’t giving up, and she didn’t know how much longer she could avoid confronting them.
Then, the day of the wedding arrived.

The church was filled with a quiet hum of anticipation as the guests awaited the arrival of the bride. But there was no
Sabrina. Her absence loomed over the gathering, casting an uneasy tension in the air. The priest stood at the altar, his hands poised with the wedding vows, but he seemed to be waiting for something–or someone that hadn’t yet arrived.
In the back, the doors creaked open. Nicolas and Harvey, dressed in matching groom’s attire, stood at the entrance. Their expressions were determined, but there was a flicker of uncertainty in their eyes. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be. They hadn’t expected Sabrina to disappear like this, leaving them with not clear explanation. But they refused to accept this fate. This wedding would not happen. Not without a fight.
Without a word, they marched down the aisle, their footsteps echoing in the quiet church. The guests turned their heads, whispering among themselves. Some were

confused, while others watched with growing curiosity. No one knew exactly what was happening, but it was clear that Nicolas and Harvey were up to something.
The priest, startled by their approach, stepped back, unsure of what to do. “Is there a problem?” he asked, his voice shaky.
Nicolas s eyes were wild with emotion as he reached the altar. “There is no wedding today,” he declared, his voice ringing. through the church. “This marriage–this whole thing–it’s a mistake. Sabrina isn’t here. We won’t let her marry him.”
Harvey, standing beside him, nodded in agreement, his fists clenched at his sides. “She belongs with us. She always has.”
The guests shifted uncomfortably in their seats. The tension was thick. The two men. stood there, as though daring anyone to challenge their claim on Sabrina.
Nicolas‘ s eyes scanned the church,

searching for a sign of her. His voice cracked as he spoke again, a desperation creeping into his words. “Where is she? Where is Sabrina? She can‘ t just be gone. She has to be here. She can’t leave us. Not
like this.”
Harvey, now visibly trembling with frustration, stepped forward. “We were wrong. We admit that. We hurt her. But we’ve changed. Please, we just need one last chance to talk to her. To make things right. She doesn‘ t deserve this. She doesn‘ t deserve him.”
There was a pause. The silence in the room was deafening, save for their heavy breathing. Then, Nicolas‘ s voice, now softer, filled the space once again. “Please. Let us see her. Just once. We’ll leave if she says she’s happy. But we need to know.”
The priest looked back, hesitating. He had heard rumors of Sabrina’s discontent, of her having moved on, but he couldn’t offer them answers. “I’m afraid that’s

not possible,” he said gently, his gaze flickering nervously between the two men.
“Sabrina has made her choice.”
Nicolas s face fell. It was as if the floor beneath him had suddenly crumbled away. He had spent so long holding onto the belief that Sabrina would return, that they would somehow fix things. But now, standing here without her, the truth began to sink in. Sabrina had moved on. She had
left them behind.
Harvey took a step back, shaking his head. His hands clenched into fists at his sides as
he looked down. “This isn‘ t how it‘ s supposed to be,” he muttered to himself.
But Nicolas wasn‘ t ready to let go. “We can’t just let this happen,” he argued, his voice rising. “She‘ Il regret this. She‘ 11 come back, and we’ll be here. She‘ 11
realize she made a mistake.
His words hung in the air, but no one responded. The guests remained silent, unsure how to react. Nicolas and Harvey

had become shadows of their former
selves, desperate to hold onto something that was already slipping away.
Then and there, it was clear to both of them that Sabrina’s wedding was never going to happen the way they had imagined.
No matter how hard they tried to stop it, they had already lost. And Sabrina had moved on, no longer held captive by the past or the men who couldn’t let go.
