The man extended his hand.
He picked mit a falcon mask for her,

Gemma walked over immediately and took the mask from his hands.

She gently placed it on her face.

She glanced back and saw that Cassius had chosen a wolf mask

He looked much more approachable now.

He asked Noah, but his eyes were on Gemma
Gemma nodded in agreement with Noah “It looks great.”

Sacisted, Cassius turned and headed for the door
When they arrived at the auction, Gemma was surprised. She thought an auction was just people sitting around, watching items be bid on.
But this one was underground–literally, in the depths of the city.
The entire underground city covered much of the city.
They even had a racetrack down there.
She was curious, looking around as they entered
It turned out that everyone had to wear a mask to get in.
At first, she didn’t understand, but now she did.
Everything sold here was priceless, and masks kept everyone’s identity safe.
Someone tapped Cassius on the shoulder.
As Cassius turned around, a man wearing an antelope mask nearly jumped out of his skin.

She was worried that she would be recognized and looked around nervously.

“I’d guess it’ll go for around ten million.”
Shawn smiled. “Our people are talking to the auction house. If we can secure it early, it’ll save us a lot of trouble.”

She had no idea what they were talking about.
But she just hoped everything went smoothly.
