After everything was done, Gavin walked over to Cassius with as much respect as he could muster.
Cassius shot him a cold, sharp look.
A hint of a smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.
The proud, almost cocky old man, who’d been holding his head high just moments ago, straightened up like a kid caught in the wrong.
He stood there, stiff and cautious–like a kindergarten student in front of their teacher.
Cassius’s voice was flat, but it hit hard.
“Got my evidence you were looking for?”
His words weren’t loud.
But they felt like a mountain pressing down on Gavin’s chest.
Gavin’s heart was racing, his body shaking.
He couldn’t even speak.
He was too scared to meet Cassius’s eyes.

Cassius raised an eyebrow. “And you want me locked up?”

Before Derick could react, the car suddenly jerked into motion.
Kaspar, quick on his feet, yanked him out of the way.
The car veered off course and slammed into a nearby wall.
