Chapter 5
A phone was connected to the big screen.
As soon as the phone was unlocked, the screen was flooded with disgusting images and text.
It showed Kendrick and Leonore’s chat history from the past year. There was even a private video of them.
Kendrick’s face immediately turned as pale as a sheet.
He thought, “How does she have this?
She knows everything?”
When he saw the sender’s information, his expression froze completely.
The sender’s name read: [Leonore.]
Ever since Leonore returned a year ago, she had been sending me screenshots of their conversations, subtly suggesting that

Suddenly, Kendrick remembered that ever since that time, Alisha hadn’t kissed him once, and her attitude toward him had changed dramatically.
Finally, when he heard those unbearable voices, Kendrick slammed his fist into the screen.
“Don’t look! Don’t look! It’s fake!”

In a panic, he tried to turn off the display, but his fingers trembled so badly that he couldn’t do it. Instead, the volume kept getting louder.
This wedding turned into a complete farce.
When my assistant texted me about this, I had just finished my wedding with Phelps and arrived home.
Seeing the message, I couldn’t help but smile. [Got it. Well done.]
Then, without hesitation, I turned off my phone, completely erasing Kendrick from my life.
Phelps and I returned to our home, a secluded villa we’d bought as our new home.
From being rivals to being married, both Phelps and I felt awkward.
I actually wanted to draw up a cohabitation agreement to avoid interfering with each other’s lives, making it easier for us to get along. Just as I was about to ask his opinion, Phelps suddenly pulled me into an embrace and kissed me.
“Ha, Alisha, don’t think I wanted to marry you. This is all just a last resort.”
After a brief pause, his tone softened a little.
“But… don’t think you can fool me either. I never thought about having a second marriage. Don’t even think about it.”
1 froze, trying to process his words, not noticing that Phelps was blushing.
Before I could say anything, Phelps‘ phone rang.
He answered, then glanced at me, pressing the speakerphone button.

“Phelps, is that you? I need to talk to you. Are you available?”
Before Phelps could reply, I immediately answered, “He’s not available.”
I tried to hang up, but Phelps blocked me.
Then, Kendrick’s frantic voice came through the phone. “Alisha, why are you at another man’s place at this hour? Why are you with Phelps?!”
I sneered, “How ridiculous! It’s my wedding day. Where else would I be if not with my husband?”
Kendrick, in disbelief, asked, “But didn’t you marry him for the project?”
I smiled coldly, “Who would joke around with marriage? Are you a child?”
“Alisha, you’d better get a divorce immediately!” he shouted hysterically.
Phelps took the phone, his voice cold.
“Mr. Collins, you’d better stop bothering a married woman. Alisha is my wife now. She has nothing to do with you. I suggest you accept it.”
Kendrick screamed like a madman, “Phelps! You’ve always had your eye on Alisha, and now, taking advantage of the misunderstanding between her and me, you shamelessly try to take her away? She only married you for the jewelry project! She loves only me!”
I snatched the phone away and hung up.
“Stop talking to him. He’s insane.”
Both Phelps and I had a faint blush on our faces.
Phelps pretended to clear his throat, looking mockingly serious. “It’s really pathetic how you’re so upset over your ex.”
He crossed his arms, but his eyes showed a hint of concern.
I shot back at him, “And who was it that nearly died of heartbreak over me?”
He suddenly moved forward and covered my mouth.
In the playful tussle, it felt like we were back to the way things used to be.
