8- Breakfast for a Queen
Everly
“Ah! There she is!” I hear Atticus say as I approach the outdoor dining area. He quickly rises from his seat and comes over to me, engulfing me in a beat hug and spinning me around.
“Good morning, little mate!” He says sweetly and kisses me on the check. I am sure my cheeks are as red as spaghetti sauce.
“Good morning,” I say hack. Luckily, he had picked me up off the ground and had yet to let me go, so I was level with his head. I decided to return the kiss on the cheek, and now he was blushing. It was a cute look,
“Yes, well,” he began to get flustered, clearing his throat a few times and trying to hide his blush, which only made me smile more and shake my head at his silliness. He gently put me down on my feet, taking my hand and leading me to the table.
All the guys were sitting around the table and stood up, greeting us when Atticus and I approached. They waited till I was happily seated at the right- hand side of the throne–like chair at the head of the table. Technically, all seven chairs at the table were like mini golden–colored thrones. They were high–back wooden chairs with intricate lace carvings and purple seat cushions that felt like I could be sitting on a fluffy cloud
The table was rectangular and glass, and there was a mesh covering overhead to block out direct sunlight and provide shade in the warm heat of the morning. The sky was clear and royal blue with streaks of orange and purple. It was an extraordinary site. The table had piles of different foods, some of which I did not recognize, but I could see eggs, bacon, ham, and bread, to name a few things. All looking mouthwatering. A giant cornucopia was in the center of the table full of fruits, some recognizable from Earth, such as grapes, oranges, apples, and strawberries. Still, a particular fruit caught my eye: it looked like a dragon fruit, but it was a deep blue instead of pink, and the green leafy spikes were magenta.
Sensing I was staring in awe at this mystery fruit, Alexander, sitting next to me in the head table throne chair, reached over and plucked one up, took his knife, and cut it in half on my empty ivory plate. “It’s called a Sapphire Berry,” he said sweetly. The inside was a beautiful swirl of blue and pink. Alexanderused my spoon, scooped out the inside, and placed it on my plate, discarding the shell in a silver tray on the table. “Eat! It’s sweet. It personally reminds me of pineapple.”
I nod, bring the small half–sphere to my mouth with my fork, and take a small bite. Oh, my goodness, sweet baby Jesus, the most fantastic flavor burst Into my mouth on a Sunday, and I couldn’t hold back a satisfied moan. It was tangy, and the texture was similar to a pineapple, but it was sweet like a strawberry, and I felt a cooling sensation as if I was devouring a frozen treat. I continued to chew and let the delicious juices flow into my tummy.
I glanced around at the guys, who stared at me hungrily. I tried not to blush in embarrassment and cleared my throat, saying, “That was delicious. Thank you for sharing it with me.” All the guys faces softened, and they smiled at me before eating. I caught Tristian looking at me, and he winked subtly before biting the egg from his fork. My belly started to have a warm, tingly sensation.
We all sat in comfortable silence. The only sounds were the tinkling of silverware on the ivory porcelain plates and the occasional request for a servant to bring more coffee. After Enishing, the servants quickly removed everything from the table, leaving only the beverages and fruit comucopia.

Atticus cleared his throat, and we all looked at him. He took my right hand, looking at me w few things this morning. Are you up for it?”
I nodded and responded, “Sure!”
Alexander said, “We first wanted to know if you would like to spend quality time together. Like what you humans call a date?” He stated it more like a question but I didn’t care. I was beyond excited. I had never been on a date before!
I practically screamed, almost bouncing out of my seat. “When?” I asked quickly,
well, if you are for it, over the next few days. Because of our busy schedules, we thought we’d double up, and we will find time to do one–on–one within the next few weeks as you settle in,” Jupiter said from down the table. I gave him a small smile.

All my mates were smiling and nodding at my question. I couldn’t help but feel all prickly in my body, even without the electric energy that radiated in and that Atticus held I haven’t even been around these men for twenty–four solid hours, and I have this longing inside my soul. I didn’t think
Human, I could feel a mate bond, but I felt something, and it wasn’t just a feeling between my legs, although that was undoubtedly very
beakfast for a Quren:
Torrow, Atticus and I would like to take you to out greenhouse. You can meet one of our caretakers, Mrs. Piesinunt. She is a garden fairy and the best keeper we have ever had in the palace. She mentioned a new shipment of tropical herbs, and we thought you’d enjoy a private magic gardening lesson with us.” Jupiter sand with a big gun on his face. It was cute! He had this boyish charm about him.
“Oh yes, please! It sounds like so much fun!” I was elated, ecstatic, and intrigued! I’ve always enjoyed flowers; I am sure this magical realm is simply spellbinding. I subtly reached my left hand up and pinched my tight arm since my hand was still being held in Atticus lap. Yep, it’s not a dream, as i feel the pain from my pinch.
“Liven and I thought we’d take you to Silver Crystal Lake and have dinner with you the following day, and we thought we could stargaze,” Octavius said, graining like a Cheshire Cat! My eyes started to tear up. No one had ever done something so sweet.
“Wow. I am just overwhelmed right now.” A tear escaped my cheek, but I quickly wiped it away. I saw the concern on all their faces and realized they may have thought it was tenible. I was quick to add, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to cry; I am just so happy! Everything souls just so wonderful. Thank you. Thank you all wipes away another tear and tried to give them a big million dollar smile. They all relaxed and smiled back

Lucien then cleared his throat. “We also wanted to talk to you about your dicam. But first, we need to tell you from what we were told, it will concern you, too.”
Okay, that wasn’t cryptic at all.
“But we think it would be better if you met The Oracle.” Lancien then stated, tilting his head like he was deep in thought, considering his following line. On the other hand, I spit out the water across the table I was trying to drink. It almost reached Octavius, who was sitting across from me. They all began to chuckle while Atticus handed me a napkin to dry my face. “She should be able to explain it better than we could, and she could answer your questions better if she stays long enough, that is..” Lucien continued, and the guys chuckled at that last part, all nodding in agreement.
“Th the Oracle?” I stuttered. A shiver ran up my spine at the thought of meeting the most famous and secretive creature known in the universe. She was a legend, literally! She was closest to what the Greeks called “The Fates” We learned in school that their mythology was based on the Oracle. This was a huge deal
Just when I thought my heart was already going to escape from my chest, the most beautiful, seductive, melodimas voice rang out behind me: “Did someone say my name?”
