The Three Boys | Raised Tore Out My Heart and Kidney
At 17, I took in three young boys. As adults, they each took something from
- me.
One took my kidney, another my uterus, and the third drained half my blood.
All because their dream girl was gravely ill and urgently needed these three things.
“Zoe, you can live without those organs, but Rosie will die if she’s
not treat
they said.
What they didn’t know was that all my organs had been damaged in an explosion years
These three parts combined were enough to cost me my life.
Chapter 1
I lay pale and weak on the hospital bed after having half my blood drained.
Lucas rushed in to take the blood bag, then turned back halfway to toss a black credit card
at
- me.
“Use this card for anything you need. I’ll compensate you double once Rosie recovers,” he said before leaving without looking back.
This was the third time.
I trembled as I tried to get out of bed.
But as soon as my feet touched the ground, I blacked out from blood loss and fell.
At the same time, sharp pain shot through two wounds on my abdomen.
I took a few deep breaths and shakily pulled open my hospital gown.
There were two freshly stitched incisions on my abdomen.
One on my lower belly where my uterus had been removed.
Another on my side where a kidney had been taken.
And the people who took my organs were the children I had raised with my own hands.
I leaned against the wall, shaking as I slowly made my way to the door.
As soon as I opened it, I heard Lucas’s voice from next door.
“Don’t worry Rosie, I’ll cure you no matter what. Leaving you back then was unavoidable, but I’ll make it up to you tenfold from now on.”
“Tch, taking all the credit for yourself? Have some shame! I’m the one who begged Zoe on my knees for that kidney!”
“Enough, let’s focus. Lucas, hurry and give Rosie the blood transfusion.”
I froze, a bitter taste filling my mouth.
The three speakers were the children I had raised.
Rosie and I were separated by just one wall.
But since I was brought to the hospital, they had only visited me three times.
Once to take my kidney, once for my uterus, and once to drain my blood.
Ignoring the pain, I took out my phone to message Quinn.
“I’ve made up my mind. I’m leaving”

He was hiding by a dumpster, injured. I didn’t mind the dirt and held my umbrella
“Where’s your family, kid?” I asked.
Lucas looked up with clear eyes.

“My parents died long ago. My grandma who loved me most is

Seeing the injuries all over him, I asked if he wanted to come with me.
Later I learned that Lucas’s grandmother had died in an explosion. His relatives mistreated him, leaving him hungry, cold, and beaten.
A week after taking in Lucas, I took in two brothers.
Their parents had also died in an explosion. Their relatives had stolen all their assets and repeatedly tried to kill them.
With three teenage boys in the house, expenses multiplied.
While my peers were preparing for college entrance exams, I decisively dropped out of school and worked six jobs a day to support them.
When Quinn found out, she rushed over and jabbed a finger at my forehead in frustration.
“Have you lost your mind?! Dropping out for three strangers? You’re working to put them through school, but what about your future? Is someone forcing you to do this?”
I shook my head, silently looking at the calluses on my hands.
“No one’s forcing me. This is what I want.”
