Olivia frowned slightly: “Ethan, we’re finalizing the divorce tomorrow. Why would I bother harming her?”
When it came to Sophia, Ethan would turn into an idiot.

cooling–off period.
She didn’t expect such threatening words to come from Ethan’s mouth.
How disgusting, how ugly.
She scrutinized this man she had once loved to her core.
Ethan felt uncomfortable under her gaze. He was about to speak but Olivia cut him off.
“Ethan, if you don’t finalize the divorce properly, I can’t guarantee your child will stay in her belly.”
Sophia hadn’t expected her to say that. Her face paled as she tugged on Ethan.
Ethan picked up Sophia, preparing to take her to the hospital.
As he reached the door, Olivia’s voice came from behind.
“10 AM tomorrow, don’t forget the civil affairs office.”
The only response was the loud slamming of the door.
Olivia leaned tiredly against the sofa, staring blankly at the clock on the wall.
The flight she had booked was for tomorrow afternoon.
She planned to fly to Florida right after getting the divorce certificate.
Not staying a minute longer.
Time ticked by minute by minute.
Olivia couldn’t sleep, so she simply sat up and waited until dawn.
Ethan didn’t come back.
He was probably staying at the hospital with Sophia.
It was nearly 8 AM.
Olivia shouldered her bag and walked to the downtown hospital.
After asking around, she came to the obstetrics ward where Sophia was staying.
Sophia was in a private room.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Ethan gently wiping Sophia’s face.
Olivia impatiently knocked on the door.
Ethan and Sophia both turned to look at her.
“It’s 8 AM, Dr. Hayes,

Ethan’s breathing hitched. He turned to close the door.
“Olivia, why can’t you understand me?”
“Dr. Hayes, it’s 8:30”
An hour and a half left.
She would be free.
“Olivia, do you really have to divorce?”
Olivia’s gaze was cold: “If we don’t divorce, should I watch you continue to cheat?”
“Fine. As you wish.”
Ethan’s temper flared up. He turned and walked towards the elevator.
Olivia calmly followed behind him.
The civil affairs office wasn’t far, less than 10 minutes away.
The staff had just started work when they arrived.
Seeing the two, they sighed.
“Young people these days, more eager to divorce than to marry.”
