On Christmas Day, I had carefully prepared a grand dinner.
The door creaked open, and Alpha Anderson walked in with my seven–year–old son.
“Alpha Anderson, Carol, Merry Christmas-”
But Alpha Anderson merely glanced at me and said, “Let’s end our mate bond.”
My face turned pale, and I froze. “Are you joking?”
“Vivian’s back. She’s my fated mate. You’ve taken her place for three years; it’s time for you to give it up.”
“But the Moon Goddess clearly chose me…”

Alpha Anderson sneered. “Who knows what despicable tricks you used to mislead the Moon Goddess? Stolen love never lasts!”
We had been married for three years, and I thought he knew the kind of person I was, but I never imagined that in his eyes, I was so worthless.
“Fine, I’ll agree to it. But I’m taking Carol with me.”
When I said this, it felt like I was using all my strength. He was a part of me–I couldn’t just leave him behind.
Carol, however, looked at me with disdain. “Why would I go with you? You’re just a broke and powerless Omega. Are you trying to ruin my life?”
