Chapter 8
Warrior Beth eagerly came to report everything to me.
“Miss Viya, that woman is too much! She insulted you so badly. She should be kicked out of the pack!”
“Don’t worry, Beth. Vivian will get what she deserves.” I waved my hand dismissively and sent Beth away.
I had once thought their relationship was deep, but now it seemed shallow and fragile -almost like I didn’t even have to lift a finger to expose their true nature.
The next day, Alpha Anderson came by again, this time alone, without bringing anyone with him.

His eyes softened as he looked at me. “I thought you’d never want to see me again.”
“There’s nothing to want or not want. We have no relationship anymore. You’re the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack, and I’m the successor Alpha of the Moon Eclipse Pack.”
His voice carried a note of sadness. “Don’t you have any feelings left for me?”
I shook my head. “Forgive me, but if this is what you’re here to discuss, my time is valuable. I don’t have time to waste on it. Please, leave.”
Alpha Anderson sighed and finally got to the point.
“I’m here today because I hope to establish a partnership between the Red Moon Pack and

the Moon Eclipse Pack. This is my proposal. For the sake of our past, I hope you’ll
consider it.”
I was surprised by how shameless he was. He was still trying to invoke old feelings after everything that had happened.
If there had ever been any feelings, they had long since been drained dry by his actions.
I took the proposal from him and flipped through it quickly, then shook my head.
“With the current state of the Red Moon Pack, it’s difficult for you to become our partner.”
Alpha Anderson’s face became filled with helplessness.
“Viya, you keep saying you don’t have

feelings for me, but if it weren’t for your hatred of me and Vivian, why would you refuse my offer? Deep down, you still care about me, you’re just too proud to admit it.”
Hearing his words, I couldn’t help but laugh.
Even my wolf, Lucy, couldn’t resist mocking him. “Oh my God, why is this man so full of himself? It’s ridiculous. Does he really think that after all this, we’d still have feelings for him, or even forgive him?”
“You’ve got it all wrong” I replied sharply. “My refusal isn’t because of that. We are looking for a business partner, not a charity case. Over the past few years, under your leadership, the Red Moon Pack hasn’t fallen
behind, but you’ve bee
behind, but you’ve been too conservative, and there’s little room for growth…”
I pointed out the Red Moon Pack’s issues

with precision. Alpha Anderson was left stunned, his face turning bright red.
“Therefore, I continued, “a partnership with you would not be the best choice. In fact, it could drag us down, so I’m rejecting your proposal.”
