Meanwhile, Gabriel had been waiting at the wedding venue for a long time.
Someone tapped him on the shoulder.

“Gabe, hurry up and bring out the videos! We need to give Aria a big surprise when she comes in!”
“Yeah, if you don’t bring them out now it’ll be too late. Gabe, you’re not having second thoughts, are you?”
Gabriel impatiently replied:
“Wait a bit longer. She’s not even here yet.”
He kept waiting until the ceremony was about to start, but still didn’t see me.
He anxiously called his assistant.
“Go check why Aria isn’t here yet.”
“Mr. Foster… haven’t you seen her social media post?”
“What post?”
“Two hours ago, Miss Collins posted an update. Looks like she was at the airport. She should be on a plane by now.”
Gabriel’s heart tightened. He quickly took out his phone to check.
As soon as he opened the app, he saw my new post.
When he read that line “Gabriel Foster, farewell forever“, his heart finally panicked. He hurriedly opened his laptop, and sure enough, all the videos had been deleted.
He finally realized I knew everything.
But he felt devastated. He didn’t know if his devastation was because the videos were deleted, or because of the post I made.
The crowd was getting restless.
“It’s past the time. Is this wedding still happening or not?”
“Yeah, who’s ever heard of a wedding starting without the bride?”
Not even half a second later, the doors behind him burst open.
Gabriel felt a moment of excitement, but the next second he saw who it was.
It was Chloe, who had been waiting backstage.
Chloe walked towards him confidently.
Gabriel stood there like a puppet, mechanically going through the wedding ceremony.
When the officiant asked: “Do you, Gabriel, take Chloe to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, till death do you part?”
Many memories of me suddenly flashed through Gabriel’s mind.
All the sweet moments from the past came rushing back to him.
Gabriel couldn’t hold back anymore. Taking a deep breath, he resolutely answered:
“I do not.”
Amidst the crowd’s shock, Gabriel ran out without regard for Chloe’s situation.
He floored the gas pedal, wishing he could fly home in the next second.
The moment he opened the door, his heart sank again.

The house had completely changed. Gabriel saw that everything related to me had vanished. His heart plummeted to rock bottom.
He frantically searched the room for any traces of me.
But he found nothing. I had cleaned everything out thoroughly.
Gabriel collapsed powerlessly onto the floor, leaning against the wall, staring blankly at the ceiling.
He started to recall when I might have found out about this.
He suddenly remembered that seven days ago, I had called to book a flight.
So this departure was also my long–planned scheme.
Gabriel felt like something was crushing his chest, making it hard to breathe.
His vision went black and he passed out on the spot.
