“Evelyn, what excuse do you have left for the footage in the memorite sapphire?”

As I watched the familiar images play out, my heart elenched painfully in my chest. Alicia’s suffering was all because of Evelyn.
Evelyn’s face turned ashen, and I couldn’t help but sneer. Wasshefinallystartingtofeelfear?
“N–no… No! This is all a lie!” she stammered, her voice rising in panic. “Th–these are fake! Someone’s framing me! How could you believe this?”
Lucas responded, his voice dripping with sarcasm and disbelief, “Framing you? Evelyn, do you really think the Moon Goddess would leave us a fake memorite sapphire? Do you honestly believe someone would go through all this trouble just to set you up!”
For a moment. Evelyn’s gaze wavered, before she erupted in a hysterical shout. “So what if it’s true? What did I do wrong? You’ve pampered me all these years! You said it yourself that all the good things should be mine! What’s Alicia: Just an evil wolf from a small pack. What right does she have to compete with me?”
The moment I heard her call Alicia an evil wolf, a surge of fury erupted within me. I stood up so fast that my chair nearly toppled over, my rage so intense I could barely contain it. If I could, I would have reduced Evelyn to ashes right then and
there.
“Evelyn, don’t forget, you’re just a replacement!” I snapped, my voice like ice. “We pampered you because we thought you could be Alicia’s substitute! But what you should never have done is harm my sister, the Whites‘ biological daughter!”
Evelyn’s body stiffened at my words, her voice cracking with hopelessness. “A replacement? How many times have you called me that? You pampered me for all these years–don’t tell me there was no real affection!”
My father, the Alpha, radiated an aura of undeniable authority, a force that seemed to crush everything in its path. “We’ve spoiled you, yes. But how have you repaid us? Evelyn, we know everything now, You framed Alicia and nearly killed her. Now, you’ll pay for all the pain you’ve caused.”
Over the next few days, my father made Evelyn endure the same torment she had inflicted on Alicia.
She was thrown down the stairs, her body bruised and battered.
She was scalded by boiling soup, her skin raw and blistered.
She was locked on the rooftop, shivering from the cold….
Each time, she begged for mercy, but none of us showed her any.
Lucas and I stood coldly by, watching. As the Alpha, my father had every right to punish an adopted daughter however he saw ht, and though my mother, the Luna, occasionally felt pity, she dared not intervene for fear of my father’s wrath,
“This is what you deserve,” I hissed, my voice filled with contempt. I couldn’t stop hating her for what she had done to Alicia… “You treated Alicia like this, so now you’ll face the same treatment.”

In the end, Lucas and I decided to send Evelyn to the royal prison, where she would face the consequences of her actions. But as we were escorting her, Evelyn fought with everything she had, and she eventually broke free from her restraints and escaped
I watched, fury rising in me, as she shifted into her wolf form and raced off into the forest. It was then that I realized how easily we had been deceived by her delicate appearance.
“Go after her!” I ordered, my voice sharp and demanding. I could not let Evelyn, the one who had hurt Alicia, escape so easily. I commanded the pack guards to track her down and bring her back–no matter what it took.
At that moment, the butler rushed toward us, excitement on his face.

Chapter 19 Found a Lead
“Mr. Alexander, Alpha, Lumal We think we’ve found a lead on Ms. Alicial”
“What?!” Lucas and I exclaimed together, hope flickering in our eyes.
My parents stepped forward quickly, their voices trembling
with anticipation. “Where is she?”

“She’s been moving around a lot these past few days,” the butler explained. “She hasn’t stayed in one place for long, which made it hard to track her. But now, the tracking shows she’s in the central region. But might just be a stop on her journey, so we need to act fast if we’re going to catch her!”
At those words, my father immediately gave orders to the pack. The Beta and Gamma were to lead the guards in securing the pack, while four werewolves would stay behind to track Evelyn’s trail. The rest of us, including my mother, would him to search for Alicia.
