I spoke quietly, as if Margaret were still by my side, listening to my words with a gentle, patient ear,
“Margaret, I miss you so much… I miss you more than I can say…
In all the years that had passed. Margaret had been the only one who truly loved me. who truly cared for me.
“Aly…” Nova’s presence was like a warm embrace, a calming force that wrapped around me, offering a sense of peace.
Still, my tears kept falling, relentless and unyielding.
I wasn’t sure how long I had been sitting there, but eventually, I stood up slowly and wiped away the tears from my face.
“I have to go now, Margaret,” I whispered softly. “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of myself. I won’t let anyone hurt me again.”
I turned away, my steps steady and firm.
But just as I was about to leave, a voice I recognized called out from behind me.
Alicia!”
My feet faltered, my body tensing.
I slowly turned around, and there stood Alexander and Lucas, not far off, their gazes fixed on me, a mixture of surprise and guilt etched on their faces.
“Aly, is it really you… “Alexander’s voice trembled slightly, and before he could stop himself, he took a step toward me.
I looked at them with cold eyes, my expression devoid of any warmth.
“You’ve got the wrong person.”
“Aly!” Lucas rushed f forward, grabbing my wrist. “We’ve been looking for you for three years. Please, stop running from us, okay?”
I yanked my arm free, fury rising within me as I snapped, “Don’t touch me.”
Lucas froze, his hand hanging in the air, pain flashing across his face.
Was it pain? Maybe. But it didn’t compare to the torment I had endured.
“Aly, we know we were wrong… Lucas’s voice was filled with desperation. “We’ve regretted it every single day. We think about you all the time… Please, give us a chance. Let us make it right
“Make it right?” 1 scoffed, my eyes full of disdain. “What exactly can you offer? Your money? Or maybe your guilt?”
I paused, my tone growing harder. “I don’t need it.”
“Aly… Alexander’s voice cracked, a hint of tears in it. “We really understand now… Please, don’t be so cruel.”
“Cruel?” I glared at them, my voice thick with sarcasm. “You think I’m cruel now? What about everything you did to me back. then?
My voice suddenly rose, filled with raw fury. “You shoved me down the stairs. You held me over the fire. You forced me to give blood–have you forgotten all that?”
The color drained from Alexander and Lucas’s faces, and their eyes were filled with regret and anguish.
I couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh. So they hadn’t forgotten after all.
“Aly, we really know we were wrong” Lucas’s voice trembled. “Back then… we were blinded… We didn’t-
“Enough!” I interrupted coldly. “I don’t want to hear your excuses. The only reason you feel guilty now is because you found

out I’m your real sister, your destined mate. If I weren’t, would you still care?”
I had long seen through their false concern. “No. You wouldn’t. You’d think I deserved it.”
I was right. The color drained from their faces again, their lips quivering, but no words came.

With that, I turned and walked away. I shifted into my wolf form, my white fur shimmering faintly under the moonlight. I quickly disappeared into the forest.
“Alicia! Forgive us!” Alexander and Lucas’s voices echoed, their cries of remorse carried away by the wind, toward the distant
moon
But knew the truth. I was no longer that helpless little girl they used to torment.
I had grown strong, independent. I didn’t need their protection or their apologies.
No matter what. I would never forgive them
