In the days that followed. I kept myself deep within the forest, far from the large packs. Each day, someone came to plead for my forgiveness.
Charles, Elizabeth. Alexander, Lucas… they all took turns, even standing outside my cabin through stormy weather, waiting an entire day and night just for a chance to see me.
“Their desperate pleas are just pathetic, Nova couldn’t help but lease,
“I don’t care.” I answered coldly, continuing with my chores inside the cabin. I’d rather be a Rogue than deal with a family ar
all
I stood by the window, watching the familiar figures huddled together in the rain, but my heart remained unmoved.
I knew they were regretful–knew they truly wanted to make things right.
1
But I didn’t need their attempts.
I had made up my mind. I was leaving this place for good, starting over somewhere far away.
Yet, when I tried to leave, I found that every border in the state had been blocked off.
“What’s this?” 1 stared at the guarded borders, confusion and frustration mixing in me.
“It must be Alexander and his people.” Nova said, her intuition sharp as always.
At that moment. Alexander and Lucas appeared in front of me.
“Aly, we’re not letting you go. Alexander’s voice was steady, filled with resolve. “We’ve finally found you, and we won’t let you leave again
I glared at them, a mocking sneer on my lips. “You think this will stop me?”
Lucas looked tortured, his voice soft. “Aly, just one week: We want you to try to forgive us. If after that, you still can’t, we’ll let you go. We won’t bother you again.”
I looked at their pleading faces, and then I couldn’t stop myself from smirking.
I didn’t care about their apologies. I wanted them to experience the bitter taste of hope, only for it to be ripped away.
“Fine. You have one week. If you still can’t earn my forgiveness, I will leave, and you’ll have to swear never to approach me again
They exchanged a look, a flicker of hope shining in their eyes.
I wasn’t really giving them a chance. I simply wanted them to feel the sting of losing something they thought they had secured
I made my way to the Frostfang Pack’s castle, my eyes scanning the familiar building.
Charles and Elizabeth were waiting by the door, and as soon as they saw me, they hurried over.
“Aly, you’re finally back.“Elizabeth’s voice was thick with emotion, her eyes red from crying.
“Call me Alicia,” I said firmly. I didn’t like being called “Aly. Only those who truly cared for me had the right to use that name
The pain flashed in Elizabeth’s eyes when I said it
I felt strange. Seeing their hurt didn’t bring me any satisfaction
Maybe, deep down, the bond of blood still had a hold on me.
Alexander and Lucas stood nearby, their gazes locked on me, full of mixed emotions

“Alicia, we’ve redecorated your room. Please take a look and let us know if you like it,” Alexander said cautiously, as if afraid of offending me.
“He thinks you’ll stay here for good? How laughable.” Nova chuckled under her breath.
I didn’t respond to her. She had a deep hatred for the Whites.
1 followed them upstairs, and when the door opened, I was taken aback.
The room was lavishly decorated, with walls covered in pictures of me. The bed was piled with gifts, each one more extravagant than the last,
These are all for you, Charles said, his voice tinged with flattery. It was odd to see him trying so hard to please me. considering he was an Alpha.
Take a look around. If you need anything, just let us know.”
1 glanced around the room, my voice dripping with sarcasm. “You think these things can make up for what you’ve done to mel”
Charl
Charles and Elizabeth’s faces turned ashen. Their lips trembled, but no words came.
It was Alexander who spoke next, “Alicia, we know these things can’t make up for anything, but we just want you to know that we really want to treat you well…”
I said nothing. I simply turned and walked out of the room.
In the days that followed, the Whites bent over backward to please me, tending to my every whim.
Charles and Elizabeth cooked my favorite meals every day. Alexander stayed by my side, taking me shopping and to the movies. Lucas was always near, his gaze never leaving me.
But I remained unmoved, my heart frozen.
I knew their actions, their attempts at making amends, were just a way to ease their own guilt
Why should i forgive them? Just to soothe their consciences?
