Charles spoke, low and raspy, “Alicia, we’re getting old. I’ll be stepping down soon, and you’re meant to be the next Alpha of Frostfang Pack. All we ask is for a chance to make things right.”
The audience below was in tears. Even those watching the live stream had grown emotional.
Then Alexander lifted his head, a flicker of hope in his voice. “Alicia, today’s the last day of the week forgive us, come to the livestream, Show up, and we’ll know.”
If you’re willing to
The moment his words ended, all eyes turned to the entrance. The entire hall went silent, everyone holding their breath.
One second. Two seconds. Three seconds.
By the time the tenth second ticked by. The grand doors to the hall slowly opened.
1 had already arrived long ago. But not to forgive them.
Dressed in a simple black dress, I stepped inside quietly.
Look at them, all so moved, full of pity for Alexander and Lucas. But what about me?
I wouldn’t be standing here if not for the Moon Goddess.
She brought me back. But she never said I had to forgive these fools.
My eyes swept coldly across the gilded hall, across the spotlighted stage, as if I were watching a pathetic little play
“Alicia!” The people on stage cried out all at once, joy lighting up their faces.
Some even burst into tears.
“Alicia, are you here to forgive us?” Elizabeth’s voice trembled with hope.
“Forgive you?” I scoffed. “No. I’m just here to see what your repentance looks like.”
Not for a moment had I considered forgiving them. Not even after Lucas and Alexander got hurt trying to save me.
I knew this was a global broadcast. Every werewolf watching would hear every word I said, loud and clear.
And now, the entire room looked at me in shock.
Of course, they were shocked. They hadn’t been the ones tortured and killed.
Alexander’s face turned pale. Disbelief filled his voice. “Alicia, what do you mean?”
Arms crossed, I glanced at the ones who had wronged me. “You thought I’d melt at your apology? Think again. I never intended to forgive you.
“Alicia, then why give us a week?”
“To give you hope. And then destroy it. Isn’t that what you used to do to me all the time?” I tilted my head. “I just did one of the many things you used to do to me. And already, you can’t take it?”
Back then, they hurt me a thousand ways. Nothing they did now could ever make up for it.
I’d already shown them more kindness than they deserved. Since regaining my strength, I’d held back from retaliating.
“Alicia, we know we were wrong–please don’t do this. Their eyes glistened with tears.
“Pathetic, Nova growled in my mind.
“Exactly. Pathetic,” I said it aloud, right into the mic.

To me, they’d always been fake. Even after learning I was their real daughter, that truth didn’t erase the hypocrisy.
“You’ve lost,” I said flatly. From now on, we’ll never meet again. And I will never set foot on this continent again.”
With that, I turned and walked away, every step firm and final.
If Margaret hadn’t passed. I never would’ve returned.

Alexander and Lucas tried to follow, but I shifted into my wolf form in a flash, spinning around to glare at them with bared
teeth.
“Don’t follow me.” I hacked away slowly, eyes locked on theirs in a warning-
“Alicia! My daughter! Elizabeth’s voice cracked with desperation, her tears falling endlessly.
My chest tightened just a little. She was, after all, my birth mother. I could feel her pain, how deeply it consumed her.
But still, we could never be family again. They had hurt me too deeply.
After forcing them to back off, I ran from the venue without looking back.
“We… What have we done.” Elizabeth’s voice rang out, raw with anguish. She was trying to call me back.
I glanced up at the moon overhead. I believed in the Moon Goddess. She would never let me return to that life.
“Alicia! We’re truly sorry!” Alexander’s voice echoed behind me.
Then came the sorrowful bowl of wolves. It tore through the forest, raw and hollow.
They should have realized long ago what they owed me. They could never repay,
I decided to give my body over to Nova, to let her run wild through the woods, away from this place of sorrow,
Under the silver moonlight, I left the continent behind, heading toward my future.
From today on, a new life awaited me.
And as for those who had hurt me, they would spend the rest of their lives drowning in regret.
Thank you, Moon Goddess. For giving me a second chance. And for making sure those who broke me live out their days in pain
