8 Chapter 8
This time, it wasn’t Archer who found me, but my biological
parents.
“Felicity, we were wrong to blame you. You didn’t set up or frame your sister; you were falsely accused. The previous Violet was an impostor. Your real sister has returned and is waiting at home. Would you forgive us for our past mistakes and come home with us to meet your sister?”
whole “Oh, you. You’ve been wrapped around Violet’s finger your life. If your wife knew you married her not out of love, but to prevent her from pestering Ethan and ruining Violet’s happiness, she’d probably be heartbroken.”
I knew Violet was slandering me, but I had no idea she was an impostor.
For ten years, my parents abused and mistreated me based on the words of a fake sister. Now that they know the truth, they think a simple apology can erase all the pain I’ve endured. It’s beyond ironic.
Seeing my lack of response, Dad lowered his stance and apologized:
“Felicity, it’s my fault for not realizing she was fake. You’ve suffered for so many years because of us. We’ve wronged you terribly. Can you give us a chance to make amends? Let us cherish and love you properly. Your sister says she’s missed you all these years and hopes you’ll meet her.“I originally wanted to refuse, but my sister

was innocent, so after much deliberation, I agreed.
The moment I saw my sister, looking at me with the same loving eyes as when we were children, my heart felt like it was being violently squeezed. Tears flowed uncontrollably.
“Sis, I’ve finally seen you. Do you know how much I’ve missed you all these years? I thought I’d never see you again in this lifetime. Thank God, He let me see you once more.
My sister held me tightly, her voice trembling with sobs.
“Sis, I know about what happened between you and Mom and Dad. I know they didn’t mean to, but it must have hurt you. I won’t force you to come back to me. I want to respect your choice, but could you allow me to come see you when I miss you?”
I once doubted my sister’s love for me because of what happened with Violet before. Now I just want to slap myself hard.
From childhood, my sister has always been the only one at home who would stand by me no matter what. She’s the only person in the world who loves me. No matter who changes, she won’t. I shouldn’t have doubted her.On this day, I stayed with my sister the entire time, listening to her experiences over the past decade. My heart ached with each revelation.
She also expressed her sympathy for the pain I had endured all these years, urging me to choose the life I truly wanted. She even offered me all her savings, but I declined.
Finally, I bid her farewell and left the Winters Estate. Before I departed, Mom and Dad hugged me, crying incessantly. They kept apologizing and begging me to change my mind and stay, but I

remained unmoved and refused their pleas.
As I was about to get in the car, Archer, having somehow learned of my return, rushed over. He thought I had a change of heart and wanted to reconcile. However, my parents immediately chased him
away.
They felt that throughout our years of marriage, he had
consistently wronged me and had no right to be with me. They pointed at him, hurling endless insults.
Yet, who could have imagined that before they knew the previous Violet was an impostor, they had secretly colluded with him behind my back, treating previous Violet well and depriving me of my rights just to make her more comfortable.
Compared to their current hostility, the irony was truly extreme.
I ignored them all and simply got in the car and left. The car stopped at the village entrance, and I immediately spotted my aunt and her two adorable children waiting for me not far away.
As soon as they saw me, the three of them happily came over to greet me. I quickly distributed the fruits and sweets I had bought from the city to the two kids, then gave my aunt the household items she had always wanted but couldn’t find.
My aunt and the children were beaming from ear to ear, constantly praising me for being kind–hearted and generous.
What they didn’t know was that it was actually they who had warmed my heart, making me want to give back to them.
“In the days that followed, I continued to live in Peach Blossom Village, leading a life that was ordinary yet extraordinary.
